UNSW Chess Club is a non-profitable student society affiliated with Arc (UNSW student organisation). The aims of UNSW Chess Club are: •
| To improve UNSW’s talent base for chess and build a reputation that UNSW is first class in competitive chess;

| To contribute to the UNSW experience by providing a friendly and social atmosphere for chess plays and learnings;
| •
| To create awareness of chess at UNSW; to provide internal and external tournaments that recognize different skill levels;
| •
| To teach chess to those who are interested. |
Some of our club activities include:

| Chess gaming sessions 4-6 hours per week (for both international and chinese chess); | •
| Internal and external chess competitions; | •
| Social activities amongst members, such as BBQs and drinks. |
